Oh, I forgot this book I read, bought the first one for the kids who liked Stephanie Meyers.
I think this series is better written, it has got better languages. When you read it it is like you're there in this mysterious environment. Then, well it is a mischmasch of Victorian life, magic, gypsies and dangerous men and of course an all girl school.
But, I buy it. I haven't taken the time to read book number two. But I would if I was 15.
It is A great and terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. (I think that's the first one, but please check her site to be sure: http://www.libbabray.com/)
If you read Meyers, read Bray. And when you have read Bray, go and check out her books she read as a child/teenager.
